One of the most amazing experiences I’ve ever been through was when I went to Brazil the summer before last. Everything about the country, the people, the food, the beaches are/is beautiful. I went with two of my sisters a brother and a cousin. We arrived in Rio de Janeiro on a bus from Sao Paulo at 11:00pm at night to a very rundown, dirty part of the city that was by an abandoned park. Between the five of us we had twelve pieces of luggage (big mistake) and we knew that if we so much as blinked they would get stolen. My brother Wayne took my sister Monica with him to go look for a hotel while my cousin Bill stayed with me and my sister Suzette. After what seemed like 2 hours they finally arrived telling us that they almost got robbed by a bunch of 14 year old kids. Every hotel was full because of a Soccer game going on so our only choice was to stay in this smelly, small, junky little Motel in the middle of nowhere. The toilet was just underneath the shower spout so when you took a shower the toilet did too. That way if you needed to use the bathroom while showering all you had to do was open the lid and Voila!!! Just underneath our room was a bar so we didn’t sleep at all because of all the drunk men singing and shouting as they watched the soccer games. The next night we wanted to learn how to dance “samba” so we were driving around trying to find a club. All of a sudden we saw like 20 girls dressed in nothing on every corner. Because I had never seen anything like it before it took me a while to realize that they were strippers. Some of them were Transvestis too. Needless to say we went straight back to the hotel and waited to go to the beach the next day to see what kind of fun adventures we would experience there.
