1- Argument/ Enthymeme
Eating Quaker oatmeal increases the chances of maintaining inner/outer beauty because grains give you the vitamins you need to stay healthy and energetic.

2- Audience- article is targeted to older more conservative people who care about their health and their looks.
3- Ethos- The add is credible because the article mentions the names of the two older women which gives the reader the feeling that these women are not models but actual run of the mill people who have tried the oatmeal and actually know what it tastes like. The Quaker logo is also very famous and so the add is automatically a little more credible.
Pathos- Strongly appeals to emotion in that the women are smiling, the interesting use of color is also very appealing in that they create a way to call the attention of the passing reader while drawing him to the faces of the healthy looking women. It also makes the reader think of the health benefits such as losing weight and lowering your cholesterol.
Logos- there is not very much appeal to logic in that the strength of the article lies in the emotional appeal.
Sufficient- The use of words, color, organization and the way they make the women look like they come from a real world situation is sufficient evidence that this product may actually do its job.
Typical- The add is typical to what others would believe in that everybody knows that the consumption of grains is very healthy. They just need to be reminded once in a while to do it.
Accurate- The claim of the add is accurate because eating oatmeal really will make you stay younger looking and healthy.
Relevant- The way they include a hair salon atmosphere with two old ladies eating a bowl of oatmeal is relevant to the topic because it shows that the oatmeal can give you inner beauty ( it makes you happy and healthy) and outer beauty ( it makes you young looking).

4- The ad is effective in that it gives a sincere and honest message about oatmeal and what it can do for a person. It also has an attention getter and it’s a little humorous which gives the reader a reason to read it.
